Welcome to the HomeBase 3.0 beta version download page! We've improved many of the features of the most popular inventory management software to make entering and managing your data on Abebooks even better.

What is a beta version?

Beta testing is performed during the last stages of development. Beta versions of software are released to allow a product to be used in a real-life scenario, allowing for feedback.

HomeBase Beta

We're releasing our first stage beta of HomeBase 3.0 to a select group of booksellers so that they can provide feedback on the new functions and the usability before we release a final version of HomeBase 3.0 to all of our bookselling community.

It's important to keep in mind that the beta version has not been totally optimized for performance. This means the system may take some time to start, load files or make changes with the multi-edit function.

HomeBase Beta Help Documentation

To help you gain a better understanding of the features and functionality available in HomeBase 3 Beta, we have published the on-line help documentation for your review. You do not need to download or install HomeBase 3 Beta to access this documentation.

Prior to installing HomeBase 3 Beta, we recommend that you review the following Readme file. The Readme file contains vital release note information, along with the most recent listing of known issues that may impact your particular installation and usage of HomeBase 3 Beta.

File Backup

If you are currently running a version of HomeBase, we ask that you back up your data before downloading and installing the HomeBase 3.0 Beta version. Information on how to back up your data can be found in our Online Help.

• HomeBase 3.0 is optimized to work on a PC running the following Microsoft windows versions
  • XP Home
  • XP Home with SP2
  • XP Pro
  • XP Pro with SP2
  • Vista (all editions)
• 512 MB RAM
• HomeBase 3.0 is not designed to be networked on more than one computer.
